The RMI and the Institute for Quality have entered into a Cooperation Agreement with the objective of up-skilling and increasing the pool of skilled labour through technical and non-technical training initiatives and to endeavour to place such trained learners/trainees at businesses active in the retail motor industry.

The main purpose and objective of this Cooperation Agreement training initiative is to provide training on the MerSETA / RMI scarce and critical skills priority lists to increase the available pool of skilled labour. This would target the development of both un-employed and employed learners as well as facilitate the objective of up skilling the existing workforce.

To initiate this agreement IQ met with all RMI directors to identify the key priority areas to ensure that the training provided will be in line with the needs of member companies.

IQ has ensured that it met all compliance issues in terms of accreditation to provide quality learning programmes in 2011.
